ECS Season 5 Finals are almost here! If you’ve got your ticket and are ready to go, there’s a few bits and pieces you need to know…

Please note that times above are subject to change, and delays are likely. Please allow plenty of time to reach your destination if you are travelling on the Sunday.

Where to watch

ECS Finals will be broadcast live on YouTube. Friday 8 June is the live heats day, which will not be open to ticket holders.


The closest station for The SSE Arena is Wembley Park – Arena Square, Engineers Way, Wembley Park, Wembley, HA9 0AA. Visit the SSE Arena website for more information.

You can also reach the arena from Wembley Central or Wembley Stadium Overground stations. You can plan your journey to Wembley using the Transport for London Journey Planner, which will also inform you of any possible transport disruption on the day.

If you need to travel after the event, you can check times for last London Underground trains from Wembley Park and Wembley Central here:

If you are travelling outside of London, please allow plenty of time for travelling to and from the venue.

Can I bring my bag?

Yes, you can bring normal-sized bags, but these will be checked by security as you enter. Nothing larger than a normal rucksack will be permitted entry, and no wheeled luggage. There will be no onsite storage for bags or luggage.


Concessions will be open at the SSE Arena where a range of hot and cold food as well as beverages will be available. No food or drink from outside the venue will be allowed inside.


Alcohol will be available from onsite concessions to those over 18, and all sales will be ID checked at point of sale. Soft drinks will also be available at concessions. No food or drink from outside the venue will be allowed inside.


The SSE Arena, Wembley has plenty of good options for accommodation, including hotels, Airbnb, hostels and more. We recommend using Stay22 to find the most practical solution for you.


Tickets are available online at Tickets will also be available for purchase in person at the event.


If you ordered your tickets up to two weeks before the event, you will be receiving your tickets before the end of May. If you ordered after 28th May 2018, but before 48 hours before the event, you will receive your ticket 48 hours before the event. Anyone after that will be required to collect them from the box office in person. If you have not received your tickets as per the schedule above, please email for assistance.

ID and age restrictions

This event is restricted to 16+ without an accompanying 18+ adult. We advise you to bring your ID to prove you are 16+ if you are travelling without an 18+ adult. If you are 18+ and will be accompanying those that are younger than 16, you will be asked to present ID.

Student tickets

You will be asked for your student or NUS ID on the door with any student-priced ticket. Student tickets are not valid without this ID. Those without valid Student ID will be required to purchase a new ticket for entry.


Seating is not allocated or numbered, just divided into Premium and General Allocation areas. SSE Arena staff will direct you to the Premium and General seating zones upon arrival according to your ticket.


Once you have exchanged your paper or eticket for a wristband, you will be allowed entry and exit to the venue within the show start and end times subject to security checks.


Smoking is permitted outside the venue only. There is no dedicated smoking area. You will be allowed re-entry to the venue with a valid ticket, subject to security checks.

Player signings

There will be signing sessions at the merch booth on both Saturday and Sunday. Please check with staff at the store and signage in the lobby for timings of the team you want to meet – as these are subject to changed based on teams match schedules and tournament progression.


There will be a merch stall on site selling ECS and other team merchandise. You can also order official merch before the event at the ECS Online Store.

Cosplay and costume

You will not be allowed entry to the venue with the following items:
Metal blades whether sharp or blunt e.g. swords, axes, and knives.
Actual or imitation guns, rifles, or artillery.
Rubber, plastic or any imitation blades whether sharp or blunt e.g. swords, axes, and knives
Heavy bats, paddles or clubs including wooden or metal baseball bats.
Bokken – a type of hard wooden (or toughened plastic) training sword.
Explosives and incendiary devices.
Functional strung bows or crossbows, sharp arrows or bolts.
Gas canisters.
Protruding nails or other sharp items.
Laser pointers regardless of whether or not they are part of a costume or prop.
Any other items restricted or prohibited from being carried in public by the relevant country’s law; there is some allowance for imitation firearms.

There are no exceptions made to these rules for special licences, memberships, or training. If you have any queries regarding the display or transportation of a weapon or prop outside of the event, contact the relevant authority.
