It is with much sadness that we have to announce that Natus Vincere will be taking a break from competition due to fatigue after a busy playing schedule over the last months. This means that the team is withdrawing from the ECS Season 1.
Eugene “ugin” Erofeev, manager of the Natus Vincere CS:GO, stated:
“Unfortunately, we have to withdraw from DreamHack Austin 2016 and ECS Season 1. Having weighed all the pros and cons, we came to the conclusion that the team needs to get some rest. We have taken part in many different tournaments – both online and offline – over a short period of time. This and some other factors tired out the guys, and that is why we had to make such a decision.
It’s a pity we have to skip these championships, especially the first season of the fantastic league ECS, which will no doubt have a huge impact on the future growth and development of the professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. As for our team, the players will have some time to rest both physically and mentally, and then will break in again to prove that the Born to Win squad is the strongest team on the CS:GO scene.”
We fully understand the importance of player health and how it impacts a team. Everyone at ECS wishes the team the best of luck and we are looking forward to seeing them qualify and compete in Season 2.
